Game for the Championship of Region 8 against the championship leader Miami Dade Sharks 🦈
🏆 We won the FCSAA Region 8 title on Sunday evening – at Miami Dade College!
First it looked like a clear thing for the Sharks 🦈: Shortly before the halftime whistle, with two minutes and 23 seconds on the clock, fell 1-0 for Miami Dade. Especially since we had lost the last two games in part clearly. But the Titans did not allow themselves to be intimidated! Ten minutes after the restart of the compensation. Then it came thick for the Sharks: their goalkeeper got a red card ❌ because he saw no other means to stop me and the Titans got an elf (you should ultimately count as an assist for me 😜 😎). Our No. 6 (Luc Achermann-Stanfield) has made it freezing and secured the lead for the Titans.
In the 69th minute after a “butter soft flank” from me the 3:1. The Sharks, now one man less, but have not given up and shortened in the 84. Minute to 3:2. But shortly before the end, the 4:2 falls for us.
With the win, we are now going as the number 1 set in the District Championships Southeast, which will take place next weekend at Eastern Florida State College. Miami Dade is also there. Friday the semi-finals go up and on Saturday the place will be played in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament (is then on 17.11).
Region 8 is now ours! Can go on like this... (reminiscent of the board game RISIKO 😎).
