The last few weeks have been pretty cool and at the same time something special. Currently I mainly “live” with my girlfriend Mady in Orlando and enjoy the time in Florida before the next big adventure begins for me soon.
At the moment I am a coach atNike Soccer Camp at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne, Floridawhere: This is really fun, especially because I work there with Adam Butler, who I know from my time at Eastern Florida State College. It is really nice to be back on the pitch together and to pass on something to young players that I have learned myself in recent years.
The energy of the kids is impressive every day. Whether technical training, small games or competitions – everyone is there with full enthusiasm. For me, it is a great experience to experience football from the coach’s perspective and at the same time to learn more myself.
In addition to the camp, I am of course preparing for my next step. In a few weeks I will move to Rhode Island and in the future will be working for the University of Rhode Island (URI). URI has already announced my change on its social media channels and I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the program.
The change means for me a new challenge, new teammates and the opportunity to develop both on and off the pitch. Finally, I had to commit to a “major” discipline: Psychology. After a great time in Florida, I can’t wait to start the next chapter of my college soccer journey.
Until then, I enjoy every day here, collect valuable experiences as a coach and look forward to everything that comes.
